Platform integrity

How moderation works

Moderation combines automated risk signals, clear rules, and human judgment to protect honest feedback without giving either side control over criticism.

Checks at submission

Reviews may be assessed using automated signals designed to detect spam, duplication, unusual activity, conflicts of interest, and other integrity risks. A signal is not proof by itself; it helps decide whether more review is needed.

Publishing, holding, and removing content

  • A review that passes initial checks can be published to the company profile.
  • A review may be held while its authenticity or compliance is assessed.
  • A reviewer may be asked to clarify or edit content that can be made compliant.
  • A review may be restricted or removed when it violates the review guidelines or platform security rules.

Reports from businesses and users

Businesses can report a review from their authenticated dashboard and must select a reason. Reporting does not automatically hide criticism or change a rating. The same standards apply whether feedback is positive or negative.

We assess the reported issue, the review itself, relevant account signals, and any available context. A report should identify a policy concern, not simply disagreement with the reviewer’s opinion.

Verified invitations

A verified invitation label means the review followed an invitation flow associated with a recorded customer interaction. It is an origin signal, not an endorsement of the opinion or a guarantee that every statement is correct.

Edits, decisions, and ratings

Reviewers can edit eligible content from their account. When published reviews are added, edited, or removed, public counts and scores are recalculated from the reviews currently included on the profile.

Account holders can use the controls available in their Rewiew account to manage their content and data. Serious or repeated attempts to manipulate the platform can result in limits on reviews, invitations, business tools, or account access.
